The idea of writing an article on this topic isn’t typical. This is when I felt to lose self-control over and over in my daily routine. As a doctor, I may say, sometimes I turned involuntary. This is because I lose my ability to regret. There is a natural principle that if one commits a crime. He goes through a sensation of regret for a period of time. But, if the frequency of a crime is increased, the intensity of regret will decrease gradually. This is how the concept of sin ends. In my opinion as a Muslim,

“Sin is sin until you feel regret. If not, then it is transgression”. This is the most toxic stage when one reaches, and here is when one needs to think about bringing a change. The things that subject one to insanity are wealth and unnecessary love for children. Yes, I mentioned the word “unnecessary” for a reason. This love sometimes compels one to a stage where you choose bad over good. According to Quran, Allah Almighty says, “And Know that your wealth and your children are a test (fitna) and that with Allah is an immense reward.” (The Quran- 8:28).

Here is the solution by controlling nafs(Islamic term used for mentioning SELF) under your command.

اَلْمُجَاهِدُ مَنْ جَاهَدَ نَفْسَهُ

“[The real] struggler (mujahid) is the one who struggles against his own self.” (Tirmidhi, Fadailu’l-Jihad, 2; Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Musnad, VI, 20)

First one should do

1. Tazkiya

Tazkiya has 4 principles:

a. “مشارطہ”

It is to bet yourself for a duration that you will not commit any bad/sin for this much duration of time.

b. “ مراقبہ”

Sitting alone thinking about, whether I committed anything evil/bad or not.

c. “محاسبہ”

To count your good and bad deeds. If good deeds exceed bad. This means you are at a level of consciousness and controlling yourself(nafs). If not, then follow Point 4.

d. “مواخذه”

It is just like taking revenge from self. Do apology, make duas, start zikr until good deeds exceed bad.

2. Exercising:

The more you are strong, passionate, and punctual, the more will you have the courage to control yourself from Evil and evil desires. Sports like archery, swimming, and horseback riding are especially encouraged. Islam encourages exercise and being in good physical shape. The Prophet said, “A strong believer is better and dearer to God than a weak believer, though in both is good.” But these services aren’t available to most people. My advice for them is to Join the least expensive Gym in the down. If that is also not affordable then do a minimum of 30 minutes walk with Pushups frequently. You should be participating in 2 sports at least.

Exercise improves physical and mental health. It reduces stress and keeps you busy by filling a portion of your daily routine.

“A biannual survey conducted in Japan concluded that in 2020 over 73 percent of people in Japan participated in sports at least once”

You should think of how much exercise you do.

3. Time Management:

PRINCIPLE:

Time management is something that really helps overcome stress and control evil desires. The basic principle of time management is leaving your “comfort zone” and bringing a change. There are two things to do, You should set goals. Primary and secondary.

One is to be focused on your Principle goal. If you are a Muslim, your main goal should be obeying the commands of ALLAH.

How to manage time?

a) Add a book to your routine.

The book should be of your interest. I would prefer a book on History, religion, Heroes, and Zeros too.

b) Set daily tasks or weekly tasks

c) Think of the progress of a previous day and the following day. Compare both and think about the progress.

d) Set tourism plans with friends

e) Pray 5 times a day. Because this is the best way to make your life in routine and get relief from mental stress.

f) If are non-muslim. Try Islam and have a thorough study of the Quran once. You will feel the real taste of Imaan.

4. Marriage:

Prophet Muhammad advised Muslims to marry; he forbade the practice of celibacy. He said, “Marriage is my precept and my practice. Those who do not follow my practice are not of me.” He also said, “When a man has married, he has completed one-half of his religion.”

Find a sincere life partner if possible. If not, go for Fasting, prostrations of Tahajjud, Ibaadaat. Indeed they kill evil desires and control nafs to the best extent. In Islam, a good spouse is considered to bring a change in one’s fortune. May ALLAH make it convenient for all of our brothers and sisters.

Lastly, ALLAH makes us in His protection from All evil desires

, and may ALLAH guide all our brothers and sisters.

Shared some basic ways of how Muslims control their desire. May it help you.

Thanks for reading.
